The 25th round of the Yelo First Division League kicked off this Sunday evening with three simultaneous matches. The results saw the league leader, Abha, stumble with a positive draw against its host, Al-Jandal, while Al-Jubail achieved an important victory over Al-Bukairiyah, and Al-Anwar defeated its counterpart, Al-Raed.
In the most notable match of the evening, Abha were held to a 1-1 draw by Al-Jandal at Al-Jawf Stadium. Abha took an early lead after just 20 minutes through their player, Silla Sow, but the home side managed to equalize in the second half with a goal from Lopez in the 60th minute.
This result affected the two teams' points tally, as Abha added one point, raising its total to 61 points to maintain its position at the top of the standings, while Al-Jandal's total reached 22 points, placing it in fourteenth place.
At Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium, Al-Jubail overcame their guests, Al-Bukairiyah, with a 2-1 victory. Al-Jubail opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Issa Khalil, before Al-Bukairiyah equalized early in the second half with a goal from Othman Barry in the 49th minute.
Al-Jubail secured the victory with a second goal scored by Nawaf Al-Rashoudi in the 63rd minute. This win brings Al-Jubail's points tally to 48, strengthening their hold on third place, two points ahead of their closest rivals, while Al-Bukairiyah remains on 34 points in eighth place.
In the third match, Al-Anwar secured a valuable home victory against Al-Raed with a clean sheet. Al-Anwar owes this win to their player, Reda Ben Sayeh, who scored the only goal of the match in the fifteenth minute, allowing the team to maintain their lead until the final whistle.
The result helped improve Al Anwar's position in the standings, raising its points tally to 30 and moving up to eleventh place, while Al Raed's points tally stopped at 38, keeping them in seventh place in the league competition.
