The World Assembly of Muslim Youth praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts in empowering families in accordance with Vision 2030, stressing its leading role in sustainable development, coinciding with the International Day of Families.

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) commended the generous care and great attention that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia gives to the family, emphasizing its pioneering role in empowering the family as the cornerstone of comprehensive and sustainable development. This statement coincided with the International Day of Families, observed annually on January 1st, and highlighted the Kingdom's tireless efforts to strengthen the social fabric.

In a related context, this praise reflects the fundamental transformations the Kingdom has undergone under Vision 2030, which has placed the family at the heart of its priorities through the Quality of Life Program and the establishment of the Family Affairs Council. This council strategically aims to strengthen the position of the Saudi family, enhance its interaction with governmental and non-governmental institutions, and empower it to fulfill its responsibilities amidst contemporary changes. These steps are part of a historical and developmental context through which the Kingdom seeks to balance tradition and modernity, preserving the values of Saudi society while embracing the tools of the modern age.

The World Symposium explained that the Kingdom's national efforts are not limited to financial support, but extend to enacting legislation and regulations that protect the rights of children, women, and the elderly, thus ensuring the stability of the family as the fundamental unit of society. This approach is of paramount importance at both the regional and international levels, as the Kingdom presents a model to be emulated in the Islamic world for how to build strong and cohesive societies capable of confronting intellectual and social challenges, thereby enhancing social security and national stability.

In its humanitarian work, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) affirmed that its programs and initiatives, spread across various countries worldwide, prioritize the family, drawing inspiration from Islamic values that encourage compassion and solidarity. WAMY implements large-scale educational and developmental projects, in addition to awareness and social programs that contribute to supporting family stability in less developed and more vulnerable communities. These initiatives work to strengthen the family's role in raising virtuous generations and instilling moral and human values, thus helping to reduce negative phenomena such as extremism and deviance.

The symposium concluded its statement by emphasizing that investing in the family is an investment in the future, noting that the integration of governmental efforts led by the Kingdom and civil and international efforts undertaken by humanitarian organizations such as the symposium is the best way to achieve a global society characterized by peace and stability, starting from a safe and secure family.
