Most regions of the Kingdom will be affected by thunderstorms of varying intensity, ranging from moderate to heavy, starting Wednesday, March 11 (22 Ramadan) and continuing until Sunday, March 15 (26 Ramadan). The National Center for Meteorology explained that the rainy weather will affect several regions of the Kingdom at different times. The Madinah region will experience moderate to heavy rain in the governorates of Al Mahd and Al Hanakiyah on Wednesday and Thursday, March 11 and 12. In the Makkah region, light rain is expected in the Holy City of Makkah, Al Jumum, Bahrah, and Al Kamil on Wednesday and Thursday, March 11 and 12. Meanwhile, the governorates of Taif, Maysan, Adham, Turabah, Al Muwayh, Al Khurmah, and Ranyah will experience moderate to heavy rain during the same period

In the Makkah , light rain is expected in the Holy City of Makkah, Al Jumum, Bahrah, and Al Kamil on Wednesday and Thursday, March 11 and 12. Rainfall situation in Saudi Arabia

The Al-Baha region will be affected by moderate to heavy rainfall in the governorates of Al-Baha, Baljurashi, Al-Mandaq, Bani Hassan, Al-Qura, and Al-Aqiq on Wednesday and Thursday, March 11 and 12. Light to moderate rain is expected to continue from Friday, March 13, until Sunday, March 15.
In the Najran region, light to moderate rain is expected in the governorates of Najran, Badr Al-Janoub, Habuna, Yadma, and Thar from Wednesday, March 11, until Friday, March 13.

The center indicated that the rainy weather includes the Jazan region with moderate rain in the governorates of Al-Raith, Haroub, Al-Dayer, Al-Aydabi, Fifa, Al-Ardah and Al-Harth during the period from Wednesday, March 11 to Sunday, March 15.

Rain in the Riyadh region

In the Asir region, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in the governorates of Al-Namas, Dhahran Al-Janoub, Al-Harjah, Sarat Abidah, Ahad Rafidah, Khamis Mushait, Abha, Tanomah, Bariq, Balqarn, Bisha, Tathlith, Al-Farshah, Al-Amwah, and Tarib on Wednesday and Thursday, March 11 and 12. Rainfall will then become light to moderate from Friday, March 13, through Sunday, March 15.
Meanwhile, the Hail region will experience moderate to heavy rainfall in Hail, Al-Ghazalah, Al-Shamli, Al-Hait, Al-Shanan, Baqaa, Samira, Al-Sulaimi, and Muwaqq on Wednesday and Thursday, March 11 and 12, with light to moderate rainfall expected on Sunday, March 15.
In the Riyadh region, moderate to heavy rain is expected on Wednesday and Thursday, March 11 and 12, in a number of governorates, including Riyadh, Al-Zulfi, Al-Ghat, Shaqra, Marat, Dhurma, Al-Muzahmiya, Al-Dilam, Al-Rayn, Al-Quway'iyah, Al-Dawadmi, Afif, Rumah, Al-Diriyah, Huraymila, Thadiq, Al-Majma'ah, Hawtat Bani Tamim, Al-Hariq and Al-Kharj, while the governorates of Wadi Al-Dawasir, Al-Sulayyil and Al-Aflaj will witness moderate rain during the same period.

Eastern Province Rain

The center predicted moderate to heavy rainfall in the Qassim region on Wednesday and Thursday, March 11 and 12, affecting the governorates of Al-Shamasiya, Al-Muthnib, Al-Jawa, Al-Badai, Uyun Al-Jawa, Al-Bukayriyah, Al-Khabra, Riyadh, Buraydah, Unayzah, Al-Asyah, Abanat, Ar-Rass, Uqlat As-Suqur, An-Nabhaniah, and Dhariyah.
The Northern Borders region will also be affected by moderate to heavy rain in Al-Uwayqilah and Rafha on Wednesday and Thursday, March 11 and 12. This weather pattern will extend to include Tarif, Arar, Rafha, and Al-Uwayqilah on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15.
In the Eastern Province, moderate to heavy rain is expected in Hafr Al-Batin and Al-Khafji from Wednesday, March 11, to Friday, March 13. Light to moderate rain is expected on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15. Rain is also expected in Buqayq, Qaryat Al-Ulya, An-Nairiyah, Al-Khobar, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Jubail, Dammam, Al-Udayd, and Al-Ahsa on Wednesday and Thursday, March 11 and 12.

The Tabuk region will also be affected by moderate to heavy rains in the governorates of Tabuk, Haql, Al-Bada, Neom, Duba and Tayma on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, while the rainy weather includes the Al-Jawf region with moderate to heavy rains in the governorates of Al-Qurayyat, Tabarjal, Dumat Al-Jandal and Sakaka during the same period.

The center indicated that the rainy weather may be accompanied by a number of weather phenomena, including surface wind activity that stirs up dust and sand, hail, flash floods in some locations, high waves on the coasts, in addition to the possibility of the formation of funnel clouds or waterspouts in some cases.

The National Center for Meteorology called on everyone to follow the weather reports and warnings issued through its official website, social media platforms and the Anwaa application, to stay informed about the latest developments related to the expected weather conditions.
