Donald Trump announced that the US military had sunk nine Iranian warships and partially destroyed the navy headquarters in a joint attack with Israel that began on Saturday, vowing to target the rest of the fleet.

US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that US forces had sunk nine Iranian warships and partially destroyed the Iranian navy headquarters.

Trump explained that these military operations come as part of the joint attack that began on Saturday in cooperation with the Israeli side, noting the involvement of the US military in targeting Tehran’s naval capabilities.

The US president said in a post on his social media platform “Truth Social”: “I have just been informed that we have destroyed and sunk nine Iranian military vessels,” noting that some of those targeted vessels were “large and important” within the Iranian fleet.

Trump added, in the context of discussing the details of the military operation, that in another separate attack, the Iranian naval headquarters was largely destroyed, stressing that operations against the remaining naval vessels would continue.

Trump vowed to target the rest of the Iranian warships in the near future, stating that they “will be floating in the depths of the sea as well,” indicating the United States’ intention to completely eliminate the targeted naval capabilities.
