US police have identified the perpetrator of the Texas attack that left three dead and 14 wounded. Investigations are underway into possible terrorist motives after religious symbols and an Iranian flag were found at the scene.

US security authorities have revealed new details about the shooting incident that occurred in Texas early Sunday morning, which resulted in deaths and injuries, noting that the FBI has begun examining the circumstances of the incident as a possible act of terrorism.

A U.S. police official reported that the official death toll from the shooting was three, with 14 others injured. Austin police responded immediately upon receiving the report, shooting the gunman at the scene, killing him and ending the attack.

Regarding the perpetrator's identity, the Associated Press, citing official sources, reported that the attacker was a 53-year-old American citizen named Ndiaga Diagne, of Senegalese descent. Initial investigations confirmed that the attacker used two firearms: a handgun and a rifle.

Police have drawn attention to the details of the attacker's clothing, noting that he wore a jacket emblazoned with the phrase "God's Kingdom" and another shirt bearing an image of the Iranian flag. These elements are a key part of the ongoing FBI investigation to determine the motive behind the attack.

The relevant authorities continue to gather evidence about the incident, while the authorities are trying to link the perpetrator's background with the items seized from him and the nature of the attack, in order to confirm the hypotheses put forward regarding the suspicion of terrorism indicated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
