In a move aimed at enriching the spiritual and scientific experience of the pilgrims, His Excellency the Head of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, inaugurated today the “Guidance” Center, which is the latest qualitative initiative of the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Prophet’s Mosque.
Hedayah Center: A beacon of knowledge and moderation
The launch of the “Hidayah” Center comes as a specialized platform dedicated to providing religious guidance and outreach services in a modern and accessible manner. The center focuses primarily on distributing beneficial books and educational materials in various languages to visitors of the Prophet's Mosque, contributing to the dissemination of sound Islamic knowledge and reinforcing the moderate and balanced approach that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia adopts in its message to the Muslim world.
The historical context and pioneering role of the Prophet's Mosque
This inauguration is not a fleeting event, but rather an extension of the great historical role of the Prophet's Mosque, which, since the time of the Prophet, has been a center of knowledge and learning, not merely a place of worship. This step reaffirms the central role of the Two Holy Mosques in disseminating a balanced religious discourse and keeping pace with modern developments in the mechanisms of preaching and guidance, especially after the establishment of an independent body for the Presidency of Religious Affairs, which has given impetus to a more specialized focus on spiritual and guidance aspects.
Strategic importance and alignment with Vision 2030
The inauguration of the “Hidayah” Center is of paramount importance given the increasing number of Umrah pilgrims and visitors, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the “Serving the Guests of God” program. These initiatives aim to transform the visit to the Two Holy Mosques from a mere act of worship into a comprehensive spiritual and cultural journey, leaving visitors with a wealth of knowledge and cherished memories, supported by the wise leadership – may God protect them – which dedicates all resources to serving those visiting the Two Holy Mosques.
Review of the 2025 Annual Report and Digital Transformation
In a related matter, and as part of administrative and institutional oversight, His Excellency Sheikh Al-Sudais reviewed the annual report of the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Prophet's Mosque for the year 2025. The report highlighted significant advancements in digital transformation and the use of modern technologies in delivering the message of Islam.
The presentation included key development initiatives and performance indicators reflecting the Presidency's commitment to implementing the highest standards of governance and institutional quality. At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency emphasized the need to continue diligent work and to leverage artificial intelligence and smart technologies to serve visitors in a manner befitting the sanctity of the place and the grandeur of its mission.
