Official statistics reveal that the Two Holy Mosques received more than 78 million visitors during the month of Rajab 1447 AH, with details of the numbers of pilgrims and worshippers in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques announced remarkable statistics reflecting the massive influx of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques. It revealed that the total number of worshippers and visitors during the month of Rajab 1447 AH reached 78,843,425. These impressive figures confirm the success of the operational and organizational plans adopted by the Authority to accommodate the increasing crowds and provide a safe and convenient environment for worship.

Visitor and pilgrim statistics details

The authority explained in its detailed statement that the figures included all places of worship and visitation in the Two Holy Mosques, with the statistical distributions being as follows:

  • Pilgrims: (14,875,003) pilgrims performed the Umrah rituals with ease and convenience.
  • of worshippers in the Grand Mosque: It reached (34,954,367) worshippers.
  • Ismail’s Stone (Al-Hatim): It was visited by (54,402) worshippers.
  • The Prophet’s Mosque: The number of worshippers in it reached (25,074,929) worshippers.
  • The Noble Garden: (1,293,867) worshippers were able to pray in it according to the approved crowd management system.
  • Peace be upon the Prophet and his two companions: The number of visitors reached (2,590,857) visitors.

The authority indicated that these precise statistics were monitored and measured using the throughput index, reflecting the technological advancements in crowd management.
