This decision was made due to technical and logistical problems caused by snow accumulation and ice formation on the tracks and switches, making travel extremely dangerous.
The Netherlands' railway network is one of the busiest in Europe, used daily by millions of passengers traveling between major cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Utrecht.
