The Public Transport Authority announced that Haramain High-Speed Railway In the Kingdom, more than 700,000 passengers, including visitors and pilgrims, have been transported since the beginning of the month Ramadan The blessed month of 1447 AH, up to the 20th of the same month. The authority clarified that the number of trips on the Haramain High-Speed Railway reached more than 2,300 recorded trips.
The train, as a safe means of transport, contributes to easing pressure on intercity roads by providing fast transport options throughout the day for users, supporting smooth traffic flow and enhancing mobility efficiency.
Serving the guests of God
The Haramain High-Speed Railway is one of the most prominent transportation projects provided to serve pilgrims throughout the year, as it connects Makkah and Madinah, passing through Jeddah, King Abdulaziz International Airport and King Abdullah Economic City.
It operates on a 453-kilometer-long electric line and is ranked among the 10 fastest trains in the world with an operating speed of up to 300 km/h.
