The initiative is based on the global "Outward Bound" methodology, a long-established educational philosophy that emphasizes experiential learning through adventure and exploration. The program is not merely recreational; it focuses on providing practical experiences that present students with real-world challenges, requiring them to make decisions, work collaboratively, and take responsibility. Through these activities, the Ministry aims to instill the values of discipline and self-reliance—soft skills that are becoming cornerstones of the future job market and successful leadership.
The geography of the homeland as a learning arena
The initiative capitalizes on the Kingdom's diverse geography and environment, implementing the program through 20 educational trips targeting 600 participants. These trips are spread across strategic locations of significant environmental and national importance, including the central region at King Khalid National Park, the northern region at King Salman National Park, the western region's Al-Shafa area in Taif, and the stunning natural beauty of the southern region in Tanomah, Asir. This distribution not only serves the educational objective but also strengthens students' connection to their land and familiarizes them with their country's natural resources.
