The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued its tireless humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip yesterday, distributing winter clothing to students in schools and educational centers in the northern part of the Strip. This initiative is part of the Saudi popular campaign to aid the Palestinian people, launched at the direction of the Saudi leadership to support those affected by the current circumstances.
The field teams of the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage – the implementing partner of the King Salman Relief Center in the Gaza Strip – undertook the task of distributing winter clothing, in conjunction with the implementation of a package of recreational activities and psychological support for students, with the aim of alleviating the psychological pressures they suffer as a result of the difficult conditions.
Context of the Saudi popular campaign
This aid falls under the umbrella of the "Popular Campaign to Aid the Palestinian People in the Gaza Strip," launched under the generous directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Since its inception, this campaign has successfully raised substantial financial donations and established air and sea bridges that have transported thousands of tons of food, medical supplies, and shelter materials, reflecting the strong popular and official Saudi solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Palestine.

The distribution of winter clothing is of paramount importance at this time, given the onset of winter and the drop in temperatures, which exacerbates the suffering of displaced persons and families in the Gaza Strip, particularly in the northern areas that are experiencing a severe shortage of basic necessities. This intervention aims to protect children and students from cold-related illnesses and ensure their continued participation in education (or psychosocial support activities) under suitable health and humanitarian conditions.
