Successful conclusion of the "Winds of Peace" maneuvers
The Royal Saudi Naval Forces announced the conclusion of their participation in the joint bilateral naval exercise “Winds of Peace,” which took place in the Sultanate of Oman with their counterparts from the Royal Navy of Oman. The closing ceremony was attended by a number of senior military leaders from both countries, reflecting the strategic importance of this military cooperation.
In this context, the exercise commander, Rear Admiral Mohammed bin Ayed Al-Otaibi, confirmed that the exercise successfully achieved all its planned objectives. He explained that the objectives centered on enhancing integration and exchanging operational expertise between the two navies, unifying operational concepts in the planning and execution phases, strengthening rapid response mechanisms to counter any potential threats, and consolidating joint cooperation in protecting and securing vital maritime shipping lanes.

The “Winds of Peace” exercise comes within the framework of the deep-rooted historical relations and ongoing military cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, both active members of the Gulf Cooperation Council. - Countering speedboats: Implementing tactics to repel asymmetric attacks.
- Live ammunition firing: His Majesty's ships participating carried out accurate missile and artillery firings, demonstrating the high efficiency of the crews and weapons.
Al-Otaibi concluded his statement by praising the high level of professionalism and combat readiness demonstrated by the participants from both sides, stressing that the success of the exercise enhances the ability of the two forces to work together efficiently and effectively to maintain the security and stability of the region.
