Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports rose by 20.7% in November 2025, with the trade surplus increasing by 70.2%, reflecting the success of the economic diversification plans.

Non-oil exports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including re-exports, recorded a significant jump of 20.7% during November 2025, compared to the same month of the previous year, 2024, according to the latest data issued by the General Authority for Statistics on international trade.

Vision context and economic transformation

This remarkable growth comes as part of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes diversifying income sources and reducing dependence on oil as a cornerstone of the national economy. The continued rise in non-oil exports reflects the success of national programs aimed at developing industry and logistics, enhancing local content, and opening new markets for Saudi products globally.

Business performance details

A report by the General Authority for Statistics showed that national non-oil exports (excluding re-exports) increased by 4.7%. Meanwhile, the value of re-exported goods witnessed a significant surge of 53.1% during the same period, driven mainly by an 81.9% increase in exports of "machinery, electrical equipment and parts," indicating the growing role of the Kingdom as a regional logistics hub for re-exports.

Regarding the trade balance, the surplus recorded a significant increase of 70.2% compared to November 2024, resulting from a 10.0% rise in total merchandise exports and a 0.2% decrease in imports. A positive indicator of economic transformation is the decline in the share of petroleum exports in total exports from 70.1% in November 2024 to 67.2% in November 2025, thus paving the way for growth in the share of non-oil sectors.

Key commodities and international partners

"Machinery, appliances, and electrical equipment" topped the list of the most important non-oil export commodities, constituting 24.2% of the total, followed by "chemical industry products" at 20.3%. As for trading partners, China maintained its position as the Kingdom's primary export destination at 13.5%, followed by the United Arab Emirates and Japan.

Port efficiency and logistics

The advanced infrastructure of Saudi ports has played a crucial role in facilitating trade, with five major ports handling 80% of total imports and 57.8% of non-oil exports. King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah emerged as the most important gateway for non-oil exports, followed by Jeddah Islamic Port, underscoring the high level of preparedness of air and sea ports in supporting trade and connecting the Kingdom to global markets.
