These accomplishments are the culmination of ongoing efforts aimed at increasing homeownership rates among citizens, a key objective of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which has fundamentally transformed the housing sector since the launch of the Sakani program and its associated financing programs.
Record numbers in ownership contracts
The Ministry announced that the "Housing Support" program resulted in the signing of more than 99,000 new contracts for Saudi families during the year, reflecting the accelerating pace of homeownership and the availability of diverse financing and housing solutions. This figure is a vital indicator of the success of partnerships between the government sector, financing entities, and real estate developers, which has contributed to injecting thousands of housing units into the local market and meeting the growing demand, thus positively impacting the social and economic stability of Saudi families.
Rental support and assistance for the most vulnerable groups
In a related context, the Ministry has given considerable attention to beneficiaries of social safety nets, supporting more than 38,000 cases through the "Housing Rent Support Program." This program aims to alleviate the financial burdens on low-income families and ensure their continued access to housing within a well-defined regulatory framework. This step is of paramount importance in achieving social balance and protecting vulnerable groups from the volatility of the real estate market, thus reinforcing the concept of social solidarity that the state seeks to establish.
Governance and oversight to ensure fairness
To ensure that support reaches its intended beneficiaries, the ministry intensified its oversight efforts by conducting more than 15,000 field and electronic inspections. These inspections aimed to verify compliance with regulations and the use of subsidized housing units for their designated purposes. Empowering the non-profit sector and volunteering
