A new Saudi scientific achievement in international forums
In a new scientific achievement added to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's record of successes, young Saudi inventor Duaa Nizar Khodari won two gold medals at the International Invention Exhibition in the Middle East, held in Kuwait. This victory crowns her efforts in the field of environmental innovation and reflects the great support the Kingdom provides to young talents through leading institutions such as the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba).
Promising innovation and two prestigious awards
Doaa Khodari, a member of the Mawhiba Association, participated in the 16th edition of the exhibition with her outstanding invention: an innovative device that efficiently filters materials and recycles used liquids. This invention impressed the judging panels, earning her two gold medals. The first was awarded by the exhibition management in recognition of the innovation's quality and originality, while the second was a special award for "Best Invention at the Exhibition," presented by the International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA). This gives the achievement a global dimension and underscores the importance of the invention and its potential applications in the field of sustainability and environmental conservation.
“Mawhiba”: An incubator of creativity and a key pillar in Vision 2030
Duaa Khodari's victory is a testament to the success of the Kingdom's National Strategy for Gifted Students. The Mawhiba Foundation, established in 1999, plays a pivotal role in discovering and nurturing young talent in scientific and technological fields. The foundation offers a comprehensive system of enrichment and development programs that refine students' skills and prepare them to compete internationally. This is not Khodari's first achievement; she previously won first place in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa) in 2013 and received a patent for her device in 2024. This demonstrates her remarkable journey of perseverance and excellence, supported by Mawhiba's ongoing commitment, which directly contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 for human capital development.
