Major General Engineer Saad Al-Mughaisib expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the wise leadership for its unwavering support of security personnel, and conveyed his thanks to His Royal Highness the Minister of Interior for his constant follow-up and keen interest in the well-being of security forces. The Commander congratulated the promoted officers and urged them to let this trust motivate them to exert even greater effort and dedication in serving their religion, their King, and their nation.
The role of facility security forces in protecting the national economy
The Facilities Security Forces are a vital security arm of the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These forces were established to provide the necessary security for vital, petroleum, and industrial facilities, which form the backbone of the national economy. The forces are responsible for securing these strategic sites against any potential threats, whether terrorist or sabotage-related, thus ensuring their uninterrupted operation and production. Their personnel undergo advanced and specialized training to handle various complex security scenarios, making them the first line of defense for the Kingdom's resources.
Local and international importance of the decision
These promotions come at a crucial time, as the Kingdom continues to implement its ambitious plans under Vision 2030, for which security and stability are fundamental pillars. Recognizing and promoting talent not only boosts morale but also enhances the operational efficiency of the entire sector. Regionally and internationally, protecting Saudi Arabia’s vital infrastructure is of paramount importance. As one of the world’s largest oil exporters, the Kingdom’s stable energy supply plays a vital role in the stability of global energy markets and the global economy as a whole. Therefore, any step taken to strengthen the security of these facilities sends a reassuring message to the international community and trading partners that the Kingdom is committed to securing its resources and ensuring a safe and reliable flow of energy.
