Driven by ambition and a drive for excellence, and with confident strides towards global leadership, the Saudi Esports Federation has announced the official launch of the 2026 season of the Saudi Esports League , the Kingdom's premier professional esports tournament. This announcement further solidifies the Kingdom's position as a leading global destination in this vital sector.
A strategic transformation in line with Vision 2030
This season is more than just a passing sporting event; it's a crucial link in a series of initiatives within the National Strategy for Gaming and Esports launched by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. This strategy aims to make the Kingdom a global hub for the sector by 2030, with expectations that the sector will contribute approximately 50 billion riyals to the GDP and create thousands of job opportunities. The local league serves as the primary platform for developing talent capable of competing in major international events such as the Esports World Cup, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to investing in the digital potential of its youth.
Innovative structure in the Saudi Esports League
The start of this season heralds a renewed phase of fierce competition through an innovative structure encompassing four competitive products, with a total prize pool of 4 million Saudi Riyals. The opening week's matches have already begun, leaving their mark on what is expected to be the strongest season in the league's history.
This year’s edition witnessed a strategic expansion in its competitive framework, as Yalla Group Limited joined as an official partner of the league, and the presenting partner for the women’s league, which will officially bear the name “Yalla Saudi Women’s Esports League”.
Competition categories and approved games
The new season is spread across four main products carefully designed to support the growth of the competition:
- The Elite category: Representing the top of the professional pyramid, where the Kingdom's elite clubs and players compete across 10 of the world's most prominent games, including: Rainbow Six Siege X, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, PUBG MOBILE, Rocket League, VALORANT, EAFC26, Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, Overwatch 2, and Apex Legends.
- Challenge category: A platform dedicated to raising the players' skills across 6 tournaments in games such as: Dota 2, League of Legends and Counter-Strike 2.
- The Women's League: It provides a professional environment to empower Saudi female players in games such as Overwatch 2 and VALORANT, thus promoting the goals of empowerment and social inclusion.
- The Fighting League: A specialized track for fighting game enthusiasts to hone their skills and compete locally and internationally.
