In a meeting reflecting the depth of the strategic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince hosted an Iftar banquet in honor of the Egyptian President and his accompanying delegation, in a fraternal atmosphere that underscored the strength of the ties between the two brotherly countries.
During the meeting, the close and historic bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed, and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields were discussed, in order to serve the interests of both peoples and contribute to achieving sustainable development. Discussions also covered the latest developments on the regional and international scenes, and the joint efforts being made to address issues of common concern, particularly those related to the security and stability of the Middle East region.

Saudi-Egyptian relations are based on a long historical legacy of cooperation and coordination, with Riyadh and Cairo representing the cornerstone of joint Arab action.
