His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet meeting held in Jeddah, where a range of local and international issues were reviewed, with particular focus on the success of national initiatives and the broad community engagement with them.
General context: National initiatives and Vision 2030
This commendation comes within the context of the comprehensive national transformation led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the framework of “Vision 2030.” This ambitious vision aims to diversify the economy, develop public sectors, and enhance the quality of life for citizens and residents. National initiatives, such as the National Campaign for Charitable Work through the “Ihsan” platform and other programs, are a cornerstone in achieving the vision’s goals. They seek to instill the values of solidarity and giving, activate the role of society in sustainable development, and maximize the humanitarian impact of charitable and developmental work in all regions of the Kingdom.

The Cabinet's appreciation of the broad community engagement is not merely a commendation, but a confirmation of the success of the participatory approach adopted by the government, which strengthens trust between the leadership and the community. Review of political and diplomatic affairs
At the beginning of the session, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince briefed the Council on the results of his meeting with His Excellency the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, during which they reviewed the close historical relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to develop them in various fields. They also discussed developments in the Middle East and the efforts being made to achieve security and stability in the region. His Royal Highness also informed the Council of the contents of the message he received from His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In this regard, His Excellency the Minister of Information, Mr. Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossari, explained that the Cabinet renewed the Kingdom’s firm positions on regional and international issues, stressing the continued support for efforts aimed at achieving peace and security and consolidating development and prosperity regionally and internationally.
Key Council Decisions
The Cabinet reviewed the topics on its agenda and made the following decisions:
- Authorizing His Royal Highness the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Abdulaziz Foundation - or his representative - to sign the draft memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Development in the Kyrgyz Republic.
- Authorizing His Highness the Minister of Interior - or his representative - to discuss with the Pakistani side the draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of developing scientific, training and research cooperation.
- Approval of a memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
- Authorizing the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture - or his representative - to discuss with the Turkmen side the draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of environmental protection.
- Authorizing the Minister of Health - or his representative - to discuss with the Pakistani and Dutch sides the two draft memoranda of understanding for cooperation in health fields.
- Approval of two memoranda of understanding and two agreements in the areas of promoting direct investment and air transport with Estonia, Kiribati and Cuba.
- Approval of a memorandum of understanding between the General Authority for Endowments in the Kingdom and the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman.
- Approval of the guiding model for a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of exploration and peaceful use of outer space.
- The National Competitiveness Center and the Saudi Center for Economic Business were merged into one center called the “Saudi Center for Competitiveness and Business”.
The Council also reviewed a number of general topics on its agenda, including annual reports from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, and the National Health Insurance Center, and took the necessary action regarding those topics.
