According to the center's statement, the maximum temperatures in the major Saudi cities were as follows:

Warnings of thunderstorms and flash floods

The National Center for Meteorology's report included not only temperature readings but also advanced warnings of light to moderate rainfall, sometimes thundery, expected in four key regions: Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan. The center cautioned that this rainfall could be accompanied by severe weather effects, including strong winds reaching high speeds, potentially leading to near-zero horizontal visibility, as well as the possibility of hail, flash floods in valleys and ravines, and lightning strikes.

Areas affected by rainfall:

  • Makkah Region: The alerts include the governorates of Taif, Adham, Maysan, Al-Ardiyat, Al-Qunfudhah, Al-Lith, Al-Khurmah, Al-Muwayh, Turbah, and Ranyah.
