For the second consecutive year, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), is participating in drafting the “Global AI Safety Report 2026.” This active participation comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to promote the safe and responsible use of AI technologies, and underscores its leading role in shaping the future of technology governance on the global stage.

This report is a key outcome of the landmark AI Safety Summit hosted by the UK at Bletchley Park in November 2023. The summit brought together international leaders and experts from leading technology companies and the academic community, culminating in the Bletchley Declaration, which recognized the urgent need to collectively understand and manage the potential risks of advanced artificial intelligence. This International Report Initiative was launched to serve as a shared scientific resource to help policymakers keep pace with the rapidly evolving field.
