Under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - the Saudi capital, Riyadh, is preparing to host a prominent global event, as it will host the Global CSR Forum 2026 , organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, on October 5 and 6, 2026. This forum comes to confirm the pivotal position that the Kingdom occupies on the international stage in the fields of sustainable development and social responsibility.

Strategic Background and Context: Social Responsibility in Vision 2030

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Saudi Arabia is no longer limited to sporadic charitable initiatives; it has become an integral part of the Kingdom’s comprehensive national strategy, Vision 2030. This vision aims to build a prosperous economy, a vibrant society, and an ambitious nation, and activating the private sector’s role in community development is a fundamental pillar for achieving these goals. Accordingly, government entities, most notably the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, have worked to establish frameworks and legislation that incentivize companies to adopt sustainable and responsible practices that go beyond profit-making to effectively contribute to addressing social and environmental challenges.

The importance of the forum and its expected impact

The forum is being held for the second time, building on the great success of the first edition, which received widespread acclaim both locally and internationally. The second edition is expected to have a multifaceted impact

  • At the local level: The forum provides an ideal platform for Saudi companies to learn about global best practices in the field of social responsibility, which enhances their competitiveness and helps them align their strategies with the objectives of Vision 2030. It also contributes to deepening the partnership between the governmental, private and non-profit sectors, and directing their efforts towards achieving a sustainable developmental impact.
  • At the regional and international levels, the forum reinforces the Kingdom's position as a thought leader and a regional hub for dialogue on sustainability and social responsibility. By attracting a distinguished group of ministers, policymakers, and international experts, the forum opens new horizons for international cooperation and the exchange of expertise, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to its active role in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Goals and a global platform for dialogue

Through organizing this event, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development aims to achieve several strategic objectives, most notably fostering constructive dialogue between private sector leaders and representatives of governments and international organizations to discuss development challenges and opportunities. The forum will witness broad participation from executive leaders and experts who will showcase innovative solutions and pioneering experiences that contribute to shaping the future of social responsibility globally. The forum presents a unique opportunity for local and international companies to present their leading initiatives and participate in this global event that supports building effective and sustainable partnerships.
