The Jockey Club is preparing to launch the twelfth week of the exciting Riyadh racing season at King Abdulaziz Equestrian Field in Janadriyah, Riyadh. The events will take place over three consecutive days, from Thursday, January 1st to Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, with each race meeting featuring 12 diverse races, promising a rich program for fans of this traditional sport.

Details of Friday's matches: Princes' Cups and Al-Mayadeen Championship

On Friday, all eyes will be on a series of elite races featuring fierce competition between the strongest stables:

  • The Prince Abdulaziz bin Musaed bin Jalawi Cup: This race, the fifth in the series, is for Arabian horses and runs over 1600 meters with a prize of 300,000 riyals. The horses "Anwar," owned by the sons of Hadhhal Al-Mutairi, and "Hafizak Allah," owned by Al-Khalidiyah Stables, stand out among the contenders.
  • Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Cup: Dedicated to three-year-old horses in the sixth race (1400 meters) with a prize of 300,000 riyals, with the participation of the filly “Al-Masoum” for the sons of King Abdullah, and the mare “Sioux Perfect” for the owner Rifai Al-Ghariban.
  • Prince Fahd bin Jalawi Cup: A speed race in the seventh round (1200 meters) with a prize of 300,000 riyals, where the candidate “Muqtahim” for Sheikh Abdullah Al-Malik Al-Sabah, and the horse “Zafzaf” for Prince Faisal bin Khalid stand out.
  • The final championship for "Champion of the Fields": It takes place in the tenth race over a distance of 2000 meters, and the horse "Madhas" owned by Fares Al-Dahasi, and the horse "Einstein" owned by Sultan Al-Mutairi, will compete for it.

Saturday's races: Awards from authorities and ministries

The excitement continues on Saturday with a series of important trophies that reflect the support of various sectors for equestrian sport:

  • King Khalid University Cup: In the sixth race (1400 meters) with a prize of 150,000 riyals, expectations point to the brilliance of the horse “Power of Beauty” owned by Prince Saud bin Salman, and the horse “Mahli” owned by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Malik Al-Sabah.
  • The Ministry of Sports Cup for Fillies: It takes place in the eighth race (1800 meters), and the filly “Maisaa” owned by Khalid Al-Sayari, and the filly “Najlaa” owned by Prince Faisal bin Khalid, stand out.
  • The Broadcasting and Television Authority Cup: The final of the cups in the tenth race for three-year-old horses over a distance of one mile (1600 meters), with strong participation from “Tuwaijri” and “Al-Haram” for Sheikh Abdullah Al-Malik Al-Sabah, “Anqoud” for Prince Faisal bin Khalid, “Adnan” for Prince Saud bin Salman, and “Al-Aghar” for owner Fahd Al-Subaie.
