The Real Estate Registry has announced the commencement of property registration for 43 plots in Tabuk and Umluj. Learn about the registration steps via the platform, the deadline to avoid fines, and the importance of the new title deed.

The Saudi Arabian Real Estate Registry announced today the commencement of receiving applications for the first real estate registration of 43 properties distributed across nine neighborhoods in the Tabuk region, specifically in the Umluj Governorate. This step comes as a continuation of the operational phases implemented by the Real Estate Registry in various regions of the Kingdom to enhance the accuracy of real estate data.

Invitation to owners and registration deadline

The Real Estate Registry has issued an official invitation to property owners within the targeted area to register their properties through the approved digital channels, namely the "Real Estate Registry Platform" or its mobile application. The center has also provided a unified customer service number (199002) to answer all inquiries related to the registration steps and procedures.

The relevant authorities stressed that the deadline for registration is the end of Thursday, April 29, 2026. They emphasized the importance of adhering to this date to benefit from the advanced services provided by the registry, and to enable owners to carry out real estate transactions easily and conveniently, in addition to avoiding the penalties and financial fines stipulated by the Real Estate Registration System in case of delay in registration.

The context of digital transformation in the real estate sector

This announcement comes amidst a historic transformation of the real estate sector in Saudi Arabia, spearheaded by the General Authority for Real Estate, as it transitions from a personal registration system (based on the owner's name) to a property registration system (based on the property's location and precise description). This qualitative shift is a key component of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives, which aim to digitize and regulate real estate assets.

This massive national project aims to build a comprehensive and unified real estate registry containing accurate and reliable data for all properties in the Kingdom, making it the sole reference for proving ownership and real estate rights, and ending the era of overlapping deeds and inaccurate real estate descriptions.

Economic impact and reliability

The registration of real estate is expected to have a significant positive impact on the investment environment in the Kingdom. By issuing a unified "property number" and a title deed that includes the precise geographical location (coordinates) and detailed information about the owner, rights, and obligations, levels of transparency and reliability in the market will increase.

This clarity in data directly contributes to reducing real estate disputes in courts, and facilitates real estate sales, purchases and financing, which enhances the attractiveness of the real estate sector to local and international investors and ensures the sustainability of its growth.

The role of the national company and modern technologies

The National Real Estate Registration Services Company (Real Estate Registry) is responsible for the operational aspects of this project, utilizing the latest geospatial technologies and digital solutions. The integrated digital platform manages the registry and records all changes to the property, such as sales, mortgages, or subdivisions, ensuring that the new deed is a living document accurately reflecting the property's current status.
