The National Real Estate Registration Services Company (Real Estate Registry) announced today the commencement of receiving applications for the first real estate registration of 15 properties distributed across three districts in the Makkah and Madinah regions. This step comes as a continuation of the Kingdom's efforts to regulate the real estate sector and protect property rights. The company urged property owners in the targeted areas to register promptly through the approved digital platforms.
Target areas and deadlines
The Real Estate Registry clarified that the geographical scope of registration includes part of Al-Wadi neighborhood in Jeddah, Makkah region, part of Ajyad neighborhood in Makkah, and part of Al-Mahbouba neighborhood in Madinah. Precise deadlines have been set for registration periods. Property owners in the Makkah and Jeddah neighborhoods must complete their procedures before the end of Thursday, April 16, 2026, while the registration deadline for Al-Mahbouba neighborhood in Madinah extends until Thursday, April 23, 2026.

The real estate registration project is a cornerstone of the real estate sector strategy stemming from the Kingdom's Vision 2030. This shift from the traditional system to the real estate registration system aims to grant real estate ownership "absolute legal validity," thereby securing and protecting property deeds from future disputes. The authority confirmed that registration will result in the issuance of a unified property number and a title deed for each unit. The new deed features precise geospatial data that identifies the property's location, boundaries, and description, in addition to clarifying all associated rights and obligations. The National Company relies on the latest technologies and geospatial data in its operations to build a comprehensive real estate registry that will serve as the unified reference for all property data in the Kingdom.
Call to register and avoid penalties
The Real Estate Registry reiterated its call for property owners to take advantage of the specified deadline and register through the "Real Estate Registry Platform" or the smart application, or to contact the customer service center (199002) for inquiries. It emphasized the importance of adhering to the deadlines to avoid penalties and fines stipulated in the Real Estate Registration Law, and to ensure the smooth execution of real estate transactions, including buying, selling, and development, in the future.
