These events are not just fleeting entertainment activities, but rather serve to consolidate the global status of Buraidah, as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) included Buraidah in the Creative Cities Network in the field of gastronomy in 2021. Through these events, the municipality is working to activate this global title by highlighting the food diversity that characterizes the region, from Kleija and Masabib to Jareesh and Qursan, which enhances food tourism and attracts those interested in heritage from inside and outside the Kingdom.

The Qassim Municipality, through the activation of public parks, such as the Housing Park, seeks to achieve the objectives of “humanizing cities,” which aim to transform cities into human-friendly environments that encourage walking and family gatherings, and provide safe and organized recreational spaces that enhance the psychological and social health of the population.
