The Qassim Health Cluster announced a qualitative leap in the performance indicators of health volunteering programs and initiatives during the year 2025 AD, as official statistics revealed that the total number of volunteering opportunities implemented reached 954 opportunities, which contributed to providing a leading national model for charitable work in the health sector, thus achieving a tangible and direct impact on the quality of services provided and the expansion of the circle of beneficiaries in the region.

Details of digital achievements and volunteer pathways

In its announcement, the organization explained that the volunteer opportunities were carefully designed to cover all health needs, distributed across several strategic tracks. Curative services topped the list with 432 opportunities, followed by preventative services with 280 opportunities aimed at promoting health awareness, then support services with 216 opportunities, and finally, the studies and research track with 26 opportunities, reflecting the comprehensiveness of the planning and the diversity of fields.

These intensive efforts resulted in serving approximately 955,932 beneficiaries from various segments of society, while volunteer hours reached a record high of 586,246 volunteer hours, which highlights the extent of dedication and effort made by health and administrative staff to support the health system.

The context of Vision 2030 and promoting a culture of giving

These figures come within a broader national context that aligns perfectly with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 , which has established volunteer work as one of its fundamental pillars, aiming to reach one million volunteers annually across all sectors. The health sector is among the most vital in this regard, with the Ministry of Health and its affiliated programs, such as the Health Transformation Program, striving to institutionalize volunteer work and transform it from individual efforts into organized, impactful, and sustainable initiatives.

The social and economic impact of health volunteering

The importance of these initiatives extends beyond mere numerical gains, encompassing significant social and economic dimensions. Economically, health volunteering contributes to reducing operational costs and increasing spending efficiency, while socially, it strengthens community cohesion and promotes a culture of prevention over treatment. Furthermore, these initiatives provide a valuable platform for medical and technical personnel to refine their skills and gain diverse field experience, positively impacting the quality of healthcare provided to citizens and residents.

Qualified human resources and continuous leadership support

The assembly noted at the end of its report that the human force behind this achievement amounted to 13,074 male and female volunteers, with 8,974 males and 4,061 females participating, reflecting the active participation of both genders in serving the community.

The Qassim Health Cluster affirmed that these honorable results are an extension of the unlimited support from the wise leadership - may God support them - for the volunteer sector, and a commitment to the approach of continuous development to enable volunteers to participate effectively in promoting health security and serving the community in the region.
