The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques is intensifying its efforts at the Prophet’s Mosque to receive worshippers on Friday through an advanced services system to ensure comfort and tranquility for visitors.

The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques announced the completion of its preparations to receive worshippers and visitors at the Prophet's Mosque this Friday, through the activation of an integrated services system aimed at providing the utmost comfort and tranquility for those visiting the Mosque of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him. These preparations come within the framework of the ongoing operational plan to which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia devotes great attention in serving the Two Holy Mosques.

Intensive field and service preparations

Field teams intensified their efforts from the early hours to prepare all areas of the Prophet's Mosque, from the outer courtyards to the Rawdah (the area between the Prophet's grave and his pulpit) and the various expansions. The work included washing and sanitizing the floors and perfuming the carpets with the finest incense and perfumes to ensure a healthy and spiritually uplifting environment befitting the sanctity of the place and the time. Engineering and technical teams also oversaw the readiness of the advanced air conditioning systems, which operate with high efficiency to cool the atmosphere, and ensured the functionality of the lighting and sound systems to guarantee that the sermon and prayers could be clearly heard throughout the mosque and its courtyards.

Crowd management and traffic flow facilitation

In order to manage crowds, the Authority has developed well-structured plans to control the flow of worshippers through main and secondary corridors, ensuring smooth movement and preventing congestion at the gates. Specific entry and exit routes have been designated, taking into account the balanced distribution of worshippers between the mosque interior, courtyards, and roof. The Authority also pays special attention to vulnerable groups, providing dedicated pathways and vehicles for the elderly and people with disabilities, enabling them to perform their religious duties with ease and comfort.

Spiritual status and ongoing care

Friday holds special significance for Muslims, as thousands flock from within the Kingdom and abroad to pray at the Prophet's Mosque, the second holiest site in Islam after the Grand Mosque in Mecca. This exceptional care is a continuation of the Kingdom's historical efforts in developing the Two Holy Mosques and serving the pilgrims, aligning with the goals of Vision 2030, which prioritizes serving Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and visitors, dedicating all available human and technological resources to this end.

The Authority also ensures the availability of blessed Zamzam water throughout the mosque via carefully placed dispensers and designated drinking fountains, guaranteeing that visitors can drink around the clock. These concerted efforts reflect a firm commitment to providing the highest quality services to visitors of the Prophet's city (peace and blessings be upon him), enabling them to perform their rituals in an atmosphere of tranquility and devotion.
