Princess Nourah University wins two Innovation in E-Learning and Training 2025 awards for the Impact Making track, distinguished in flexible learning initiatives and open educational content.

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has achieved another national milestone, adding to its impressive record in digital transformation, by winning two prestigious awards in the "Impact Making" category of the 2024-2025 Innovation in E-Learning and Training Award. This recognition came during the "Digital Education Forum 2025," organized by the National Center for E-Learning in Riyadh, in the presence of leading experts and decision-makers in the education and technology sectors.

Details of the achievement and paths to victory

The university's recognition was well-deserved, stemming from its excellence in two categories: "E-Learning and Training Initiatives," through its pioneering "Flexible Learning" initiative, and "Open Educational Content." These awards are granted to entities that succeed in creating a tangible and sustainable impact that contributes to providing lifelong learning opportunities and developing human capabilities in line with the rapidly changing business environment.

Flexible learning: a bridge to the job market

The university's "Flexible Learning Pathways" initiative is a model for aligning academic outcomes with the evolving needs of the job market. This initiative is designed to serve three main areas: academic programs, graduates, and professional development. In numerical terms, more than 25,000 individuals have benefited from these pathways, reflecting the university's success in adopting an institutional approach that integrates traditional education with modern digital skills. This directly contributes to achieving the objectives of the Human Capital Development Program, one of the programs under the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Leading the way in open content and enriching knowledge

In its efforts to enhance Arabic digital content, the university has achieved a significant leap forward in the field of open educational resources. Its total resources on the national platform “OERx” have exceeded 4,500, registering over 94,000 digital interactions. This intellectual momentum has placed the university fifth among the platform's partners, with a diverse range of resources encompassing 165 collections covering multiple academic and scientific disciplines, thus contributing to the democratization of knowledge and making it accessible to all.

The importance of the event and the national context

This victory is particularly significant given the stature of the organizing body; the National Center for E-Learning is leading a regulatory effort to ensure the quality of digital education in the Kingdom. The Digital Education Forum serves as a strategic platform for showcasing the latest global trends in educational technology. Princess Nourah University's win at this event underscores the commitment of Saudi educational institutions to international quality standards and their ongoing efforts to leverage artificial intelligence and modern technologies to enhance the educational process.

For her part, Professor Najat Al Saleh, Director of the E-Learning Department at the University’s Academic Affairs Agency, affirmed that this achievement reflects the University’s vision of investing in human capital and providing innovative and flexible educational solutions that ensure the sustainability of the educational impact.
