In a strategic move aimed at enhancing the integration between academic outputs and labor market demands, the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized the “Bridge to the Future” exhibition. Held at the university’s Natural and Health Sciences Research Center, the event served as a vital platform for linking education with professional practice in the health sciences, aligning with national initiatives for human resource development.

This exhibition is organized within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030, which prioritizes the development of the healthcare sector and the empowerment of women. Princess Nourah University, as the largest women’s university in the world, is a cornerstone in achieving these goals, working to equip graduates with the research and professional skills necessary to compete in the job market and contribute effectively to the knowledge-based economy. The exhibition aims to bridge the traditional gap between academic theory and practical application by showcasing innovative student research projects to leading healthcare institutions in the Kingdom.
Exhibition Pillars: An integrated scientific and professional platform
The “Bridge to the Future” exhibition highlighted the alignment of the college’s outputs with labor market needs, showcasing research solutions and innovative projects that contribute to the development of healthcare services. The exhibition was organized with multiple focus areas, featuring the participation of approximately 300 female students from the college who presented their research and projects. Accompanying events included:
- Career Day Corner: With the participation of approximately 28 health entities, including hospitals and specialized centers, with the aim of promoting professional communication and building opportunities for training and employment.
- The Scientific Posters Corner: which included more than 50 scientific projects and research papers by female students of the college in the fields of rehabilitation and health sciences, which were presented and discussed by specialists and academics.
- Scientific Research Competition: To encourage female students to excel in research, where the best scientific research and the best presentation were honored, thus stimulating a culture of innovation and positive competition.
Strategic importance and expected impact
The Dean of the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Dr. Hadeel Al-Saleh, explained that “the Bridge to the Future Exhibition is one of the strategic initiatives that reflects the college’s focus on linking scientific research with professional training, and enabling students to transition smoothly from the academic environment to the healthcare job market.” She added that the exhibition combines a scientific poster day with a career day, with broad participation from hospitals, health centers, and supporting organizations.
Locally, the exhibition contributes to the healthcare sector transformation program by supplying the market with qualified national talent. Regionally, it reinforces the university's position as a leading model in higher education for women and the development of scientific research.
