Nahdi Medical Company's profits rose by 1.2% in 2025 to SAR 830.7 million, compared to SAR 820.7 million in 2024.
According to the company's statement on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) website, this increase is mainly attributed to the following factors:
- Gross profit increased by 8.3%, slightly exceeding revenue growth, achieving an increase of SAR 293.2 million to reach SAR 3,805.6 million in 2025, compared to SAR 3,512.4 million in the previous year. The gross profit margin remained stable at 37.3% despite the company's continued investments in its various strategic initiatives.
- Operating profit grew by 6.1%, achieving an increase of SAR 53.3 million to reach SAR 926.5 million in 2025, compared to SAR 873.2 million in the previous year. This strong performance was achieved despite the company's continued investments to support future growth, including the opening of new pharmacies, expansion of its operations in the healthcare sector and the UAE, and investment in digital transformation initiatives. These investments resulted in an increase in operating expenses, which was partially offset by strong sales growth and improved operational efficiency.
Furthermore, there was a net increase of SAR 43.3 million in other items beyond operating profit, primarily due to higher bank charges and interest on lease obligations, which supported sales growth and business expansion.
It is worth noting that net profit for 2025 benefited from the reversal of a non-recurring zakat provision of SAR 17.8 million, which was recorded in the first quarter of 2025.
As a result, net profit increased by SAR 10 million, or 1.2%.
