In an official statement issued by the General Secretariat of the Muslim World League, His Excellency the Secretary-General, Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, expressed the full solidarity of the Muslim world with the Federal Republic of Nigeria in this tragic event. Dr. Al-Issa emphasized that these criminal acts are contrary to all religious principles and human values, stressing the necessity of concerted international efforts to confront the scourge of terrorism and to dry up its intellectual and material sources of funding. He also offered his sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Nigeria, praying to God Almighty to grant His mercy to the deceased and to grant the injured a speedy recovery.
