The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques launched the "Guide for the Worshipper" digital platform in 7 languages to provide reliable religious content and guidance to pilgrims, as part of digital transformation efforts.

In a move aimed at enhancing the spiritual and religious experience of pilgrims, the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques launched the “Prayer Guide” electronic platform, a comprehensive digital service available in seven international languages. This initiative is part of a series of digital transformation efforts undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to leverage the latest technologies in serving visitors to the Two Holy Mosques from around the world.

A qualitative leap within the framework of Vision 2030

The launch of the “Prayer Guide” platform reflects the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to achieving the goals of Vision 2030, particularly its focus on enriching the Hajj and Umrah experience. Historically, guidance services at the Two Holy Mosques relied on printed brochures and field guides, but with technological advancements and the increasing number of visitors, digital transformation has become essential. This platform represents a natural and logical evolution of the services system, shifting religious guidance from traditional methods to an interactive digital space easily accessible via smart devices, which are now readily available to everyone.

Comprehensive and interactive content in seven languages

The “Prayer Guide” platform is a comprehensive interactive service that provides quick access to guidance and educational content by scanning QR codes located throughout the Two Holy Mosques. The platform is available in seven major languages: Arabic, English, Indonesian, Malay, French, Turkish, and Urdu, catering to the vast cultural and linguistic diversity of visitors to the Grand Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina. The content includes the Holy Quran, a collection of supplications and remembrances, a simplified explanation of the rituals of worship, information on the virtues of good deeds, Friday sermons, and prayer times. This reliable content ensures that visitors receive accurate religious information from its official source.

The importance and expected impact of the platform

The significance of this platform lies in its ability to break down language barriers, enabling millions of non-Arabic-speaking Muslims to gain a deeper understanding of their rituals and acts of worship, thus enhancing their devotion and tranquility during their spiritual journey. Domestically, this initiative showcases the Kingdom's technological advancements in crowd management and the provision of smart services. Internationally, it reinforces the Kingdom's position as a leader in the Islamic world and underscores its commitment to providing the highest levels of service to pilgrims, utilizing all available resources to ensure their comfort and facilitate their worship with ease and convenience.
