A historical extension of the Kingdom's efforts to serve Muslims
Historically, since its founding, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has consistently prioritized the well-being of Muslims across the globe. The Ministry serves as the executive arm of this leadership vision, continuously working to strengthen fraternal bonds among Muslim peoples. During significant seasons such as Ramadan, these efforts intensify to include humanitarian and outreach support, reflecting the Kingdom's enduring commitment to its religious and historical responsibilities towards the Muslim Ummah and solidifying its position as the heart of the Islamic world.
Extensive international impact through the programs of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
At the international level, the Ministry explained that its efforts included implementing a comprehensive package of high-quality programs and initiatives. Among the most prominent of these initiatives was the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' program for providing Iftar meals to fasting Muslims, which was successfully implemented in 70 countries worldwide, benefiting more than 1.2 million fasting individuals. This program not only provides Iftar meals but also embodies a message of solidarity and social cohesion, strengthening the bonds of love among Muslims. The Ministry also focused on serving pilgrims, welcoming them at entry points and providing them with awareness and guidance programs supported by modern digital services. This facilitated the journey for more than 20.8 million beneficiaries and offered them a comprehensive spiritual experience.
Local efforts also included equipping and preparing more than 84,000 mosques and prayer halls across the Kingdom. In Mecca specifically, 1,650 additional mosques were prepared to accommodate the high volume of worshippers and pilgrims during the holy month, providing a serene and comfortable spiritual environment for more than 10 million beneficiaries.
Digital awareness and promoting volunteer work
On the awareness front, the Ministry kept pace with technological advancements by distributing 11.4 million copies of printed and electronic awareness materials, in addition to promotional cards and digital downloads via the 'Rushd' application, thus enhancing religious awareness among all segments of society in modern ways. Believing in the importance of community participation, the Ministry provided 10,122 volunteer opportunities, in which more than 51,000 volunteers participated, contributing a total of 579,000 volunteer hours.
