The discussions focused on facilitating the flow of food products to and from the Kingdom, and coordinating the complex logistical operations for feed inputs.
Supply sustainability
The attendees discussed building an effective government communication network to ensure the sustainability of supplies and to address any challenges that may hinder the delivery of agricultural products to the end user.
The participants appreciated the unlimited government support that resulted in qualitative leaps in record time, as the contribution of the agricultural sector to the gross domestic product jumped to 114 billion riyals by the end of 2024.
Many agricultural crops and local products recorded historic self-sufficiency rates exceeding 100%, which strengthened the position of national food security.
