Launch of the sixth edition of the National Cultural Awards

The Ministry of Culture announces the start of the sixth session of the National Cultural Awards and opens the door for nominations in the main and sectoral tracks to honor creators and institutions.

The Ministry of Culture announced the launch of the sixth edition of the “National Cultural Awards” initiative, opening the door for nominations to the entire cultural community and the public to nominate themselves or those they deem qualified to receive the awards in various sectors, through the electronic platform dedicated to the event.

The current version of the awards structure is divided into two main sections; the first section deals with the main awards and includes seven categories, namely: the Cultural Personality of the Year Award, the Youth Culture Award, the Businesswomen and Businessmen Award, the For-Profit Cultural Institutions Award, the Non-Profit Cultural Institutions Award, the Cultural Media Award, in addition to the International Cultural Excellence Award.

The second section includes sectoral awards covering twelve creative fields, and the list includes: the Literature Award, the Publishing Award, the Theatre and Performing Arts Award, the Culinary Arts Award, the Architecture and Design Award, the Translation Award, the Fashion Award, the Film Award, the National Heritage Award, the Music Award, the Visual Arts Award, and the Handicrafts Award.

These awards are part of the Ministry of Culture's annual efforts to celebrate pioneers in the sector and honor accomplished individuals and institutions. The initiative aims to recognize contributions to the cultural sector, encourage national talent, and promote Saudi cultural production both locally and internationally.
