Marble Design Factory, listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange, announced on Sunday a significant milestone in its expansion plans: the completion of showrooms and warehouses for its wholly-owned subsidiary, Tariq Al-Maskan Real Estate Development Company. This step paves the way for the launch of a new product line that will add cinderstone slabs to the company's portfolio.
Details of the strategic partnership and operation
In an official statement published on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) website, the company explained that this vital project was implemented in strategic partnership with the global brand Techlam, a subsidiary of the leading Spanish group Leventina, specializing in natural stone and innovative surfaces. The company confirmed that it has successfully obtained all necessary permits, paving the way for the commencement of operations at the new facilities.
Financing and expected financial impact
Regarding the project's financial aspects, Marble Design indicated that the entire project, including land acquisition, building construction, and the import of advanced machinery and equipment for cutting and processing the cinderstone slabs, was financed entirely through the company's own resources, without the need for external financing. The company anticipates that the positive financial impact of this expansion will begin to be reflected in its financial statements by the first half of fiscal year 2026.
What is Cinderstone and why this expansion?
The move towards producing sintered stone represents a significant step forward in the construction and finishing sector. Sintered stone is a manufactured stone characterized by its exceptional durability and high resistance to heat, scratches, and stains, making it a preferred choice for modern projects, whether for exterior facades, interior surfaces, or kitchens. The Spanish "Teklam" technology is among the best globally in producing large, thin slabs with outstanding physical properties, giving Marble Design a strong competitive advantage in the local market.
Keeping pace with the urban development boom in the Kingdom
This announcement is particularly significant given the massive construction boom underway in Saudi Arabia as part of Vision 2030. With the increasing number of mega-projects and residential and commercial complexes, the demand for high-quality building materials and finishes is steadily rising. This project contributes to boosting local content by developing an innovative roofing industry, reducing reliance on imports and supporting the national economy while providing sustainable and modern architectural solutions for the Saudi market.
