Makkah witnessed the handover of 643 housing units to eligible families in implementation of the Crown Prince’s directive, as part of the Jood Housing Initiative to enhance the quality of life and provide suitable housing.

On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the region, sponsored the ceremony of handing over ownership documents for the housing units to the beneficiary families, which number 643 housing units distributed across the various governorates of the region.

This important event comes in implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect him - and as part of his generous donation of one billion riyals from his own funds to support the “Jood Housing” initiative, which is supervised by the National Development Housing Foundation “Sakan”.

Enhancing quality of life and achieving the goals of Vision 2030

This achievement represents a pivotal step in the context of national efforts to increase the rate of homeownership among citizens, which is one of the main objectives of the housing program within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. Non-profit sector initiatives, such as “Jood Housing”, play an integral role with government efforts to provide sustainable housing solutions for the most needy groups, thus enhancing the social and economic stability of Saudi families.

In accordance with the royal directives, the "Sakan" Foundation ensured the completion of these high-quality housing projects within a record time of no more than 12 months. The projects were executed using national expertise and companies, adhering to the highest technical specifications and quality of life standards, reflecting the wise leadership's aspirations to provide a safe and dignified residential environment for beneficiaries.

Supporting leadership and empowering the non-profit sector

In a statement on this occasion, the Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, on behalf of Prince Khalid bin Faisal and all beneficiaries, expressed his deepest gratitude to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for this generous support. His Highness affirmed that these initiatives reinforce the values ​​of solidarity and giving within Saudi society, and place the well-being and housing stability of citizens at the forefront of national priorities.

For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Sakan” Foundation, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqil, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Prince of Makkah Region and His Highness his Deputy, praising the great support that the project received in the region, which contributed to overcoming obstacles and completing the units on time.
