Makkah Health Cluster and the “Wafed Al Rahman” Association sign a strategic agreement to provide integrated health and spiritual support to pilgrims during Ramadan and Hajj seasons, in line with Vision 2030.

A strategic alliance to serve the guests of God

In a move reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's unwavering commitment to serving pilgrims, the Makkah Health Cluster has signed a strategic community partnership agreement with the Wafed Al Rahman Association. This agreement aims to enhance the health and spiritual support provided to pilgrims during the peak seasons of Ramadan and Hajj. The partnership seeks to launch a comprehensive package of health and humanitarian initiatives and unify field efforts to ensure a rich and safe healthcare experience for visitors to the Holy Mosque.

Historical background and ongoing efforts

Since its founding, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has placed paramount importance on serving the Two Holy Mosques and caring for their visitors. These services have evolved over the decades from limited, individual efforts to a comprehensive institutional system encompassing all sectors. This new alliance is a link in a long chain of continuous development, representing a strategic integration between the public and non-profit healthcare sectors, and is one of the key pillars of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. Through the "Guests of God Service Program," the Vision aims to enable the largest possible number of Muslims to perform Hajj and Umrah in the best possible way, enhancing their experience through high-quality services.

Dimensions of the agreement and its expected impact

The agreement is based on implementing a series of initiatives that extend beyond traditional medical care to include spiritual, psychological, and social support for pilgrims and visitors. Through this collaboration, both parties aim to create a more comprehensive and inclusive healthcare environment and launch intensive seasonal campaigns that support awareness and prevention programs. Locally, this cooperation strengthens institutional integration and activates the role of the community in serving the pilgrims, creating a lasting social impact. Internationally, these efforts highlight the Kingdom's positive image as a leading nation in crowd management and humanitarian services, and reinforce the confidence of millions of Muslims worldwide in the quality of care provided to them during their spiritual journey.

Integrating roles to achieve Vision 2030

The agreement was signed in the presence of the CEO of the Makkah Health Cluster, Dr. Hatem bin Ahmed Al-Omari, and the Executive Director of the Wafad Al-Rahman Association, Ms. Mawadda Sami Aqel. This step reflects the Health Cluster's commitment to expanding its effective partnerships with third-sector (non-profit) institutions to advance the objectives of the Health Transformation Program and solidify the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to provide comprehensive and sustainable healthcare for pilgrims in Makkah, ensuring their safety and enabling them to focus on performing their rituals with peace and tranquility.
