Learn about the Business Facilitation Office service launched by the Makkah Chamber in cooperation with Monshaat to support entrepreneurs and remove obstacles for small and medium enterprises in accordance with Vision 2030.

In a strategic move aimed at strengthening the business infrastructure in the Holy City of Mecca, the Mecca Chamber of Commerce, represented by its Entrepreneurship Center, announced the launch of the Business Facilitation Office (Monsha’at) service. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurs and empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), thereby creating an attractive and sustainable investment environment that aligns with national economic aspirations.

Supporting the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030

This step is of paramount importance as it directly contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which has placed the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) sector at the forefront of its economic priorities. The Vision aims to increase the contribution of this vital sector to the GDP from 20% to 35%, recognizing it as a key driver of economic growth, a primary generator of jobs, and a source of innovation and economic diversification, moving away from total dependence on oil.

An integrated service system for entrepreneurs

The Business Facilitation Office aims to provide a comprehensive suite of accessible solutions for entrepreneurs, going beyond simply completing routine transactions. These services include professional guidance and mentorship, streamlining government procedures, and connecting beneficiaries with support and funding entities. This effective connection contributes to increased operational efficiency and improved growth and sustainability opportunities for startups, thus reducing the risk of failure in their early years.

Strategic partnership with “Monshaat”

The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at), through these offices and in close cooperation with chambers of commerce and industry across the Kingdom, regularly monitors the challenges and obstacles facing the private sector. This partnership with the public sector relies on the systematic analysis of data to develop regulatory and legislative solutions that contribute to improving the business environment and enhancing the sector’s competitiveness both locally and regionally.

Economic impact of Mecca

The Makkah Chamber of Commerce affirmed that this service represents a significant addition to the support programs offered in the region, especially given Makkah's unique economic status linked to the Hajj and Umrah seasons. Empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Holy City contributes to improving the quality of services provided to pilgrims and revitalizing the hospitality, retail, and logistics sectors. This initiative is part of a series of programs implemented by the Chamber to stimulate innovation and foster integration between the public and private sectors, ensuring a prosperous economic future for the region.
