An unforgettable musical night in the heart of the capital
In a dazzling musical evening, the "Prince of Arab Song," artist Majid Al-Muhandis, illuminated the skies of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, presenting an exceptional concert at the Mohammed Abdo Arena as part of the sixth edition of Riyadh Season. The concert, held on Friday evening, witnessed a massive audience turnout, filling the stands to capacity. Tickets sold out almost immediately after going on sale, reflecting Al-Muhandis's immense popularity in the Kingdom and the Arabian Gulf. Throughout the evening, Al-Muhandis delighted his audience with a diverse selection of 22 songs, both old and new, delivering a rich musical experience that resonated enthusiastically with the audience, both on social media and throughout the venue.
Riyadh Season: Saudi Arabia's new entertainment destination
This concert is part of a series of massive artistic events hosted by Riyadh Season, which has become one of the world's leading entertainment festivals. Launched in 2019 as a key initiative of the General Entertainment Authority, the season aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify national income sources and bolster the tourism, entertainment, and culture sectors. In just a few years, the season has successfully attracted millions of visitors from within and outside the Kingdom, transforming Riyadh into a global destination hosting top stars, artists, and major sporting and theatrical events, thus reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a leading cultural and artistic hub in the Middle East.
Event details and a complete musical program
The engineer took to the stage accompanied by his brilliant musical ensemble, led by Maestro Medhat Khamis, opening the concert with the song "Fahmooh" to a warm welcome from the audience. During the first segment, he performed a selection of his masterpieces, including "Ana Belyak," "Yahizzak El Shawq," "Wadni Lak," "Ala Allah Ya El Ba'eed," "Ana Musayyar," "Ala Moudak," "Badeit Atayeb," "Tunadeek," and "Fursa Majnouna." The concert was also attended by a number of prominent artistic and cultural figures, most notably Prince Abdulrahman bin Musa'id and Prince Saud bin Abdullah, in addition to the creators of the engineer's new album. Composer Ali Saber was also present and joined the engineer in performing the song "Sahran" in a memorable duet that garnered significant attention.
After a short break, Al-Muhandis returned to delight his audience in the second segment with songs such as "Atshan" (Thirsty), "Alamat Hubbi" (My Sign of Love), "Marmay" (My Goal), "Bayn Idayya" (Between My Hands), "Liyatma'in Qalbi" (So My Heart May Be at Peace), "Ahibbak Mout" (I Love You to Death), "Ya Reit" (If Only), "Law Sa'al" (If He Asked), "Tuhibbak Rouhi" (My Soul Loves You), and "Haram" (Forbidden). In a beautiful artistic gesture, Al-Muhandis concluded his performance with the song "Anta Malak" (You Are the King) by the artist Rabeh Saqer, leaving a wonderful artistic mark on the finale of a night that will remain in the memory of lovers of authentic Arabic music. Al-Muhandis expressed his pride and honor in participating in Riyadh Season, praising the significant development the season has witnessed in terms of organization and the diversity of events, and emphasizing that artistic competition among stars contributes to raising the artistic level and offering the best to the audience.
