The humanitarian context and the importance of support
This support comes amidst dire humanitarian conditions that Yemen has been experiencing for years. The ongoing conflict has led to the near-total collapse of the health system, leaving millions of people, particularly in remote areas like Hajjah Governorate, vulnerable to disease, epidemics, and malnutrition. Hajjah Governorate is among the hardest hit, lacking even the most basic healthcare, making the presence of functioning health centers like the Al-Ja'dah center vital for saving lives.
The role of the King Salman Relief Center
Since its establishment in 2015, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has prioritized supporting Yemen. The center implements hundreds of projects across vital sectors such as health, food security, water and sanitation, education, and shelter. Through these projects, the center aims to meet the basic needs of those affected and rebuild critical infrastructure, reaffirming the Kingdom's unwavering humanitarian commitment to the Yemeni people.
Local and international impact
The continued operation of the Al-Ja’ada Health Center, supported by the King Salman Center, not only provides direct treatment to patients but also strengthens the resilience of the local community and prevents the spread of epidemics. Regionally and internationally, these efforts highlight the pivotal role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as one of the largest international donors in responding to the Yemeni crisis and underscore the importance of concerted international efforts to address one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises.
