The King Salman Relief Center will sponsor the treatment of the Palestinian child Yazan Nasman in Jordan as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to support cancer patients from Gaza and provide them with the necessary medical care.

In a humanitarian step reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s firm commitment to supporting humanitarian causes, and embodying the values of giving and solidarity, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid announced its full sponsorship of the treatment of the Palestinian child “Yazan Sami Nasman”, who comes from the Gaza Strip, and who is facing critical health conditions.

Details of the health condition and urgent intervention

Nine-year-old Yazan suffers from a tumor in his lymphatic system, a condition requiring urgent medical intervention and advanced treatment protocols that were unavailable in the Gaza Strip due to the current circumstances. The center's intervention came after medical reports confirmed the deterioration of his health and his critical need for specialized care to save his life.

Accordingly, arrangements were made through official channels to transfer the child to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, where he was immediately admitted to the King Hussein Cancer Center. Yazan is currently undergoing a series of thorough examinations and continuous monitoring by a specialized pediatric oncology team to assess his response to treatment, control the disease, and prevent any potential complications.

Humanitarian context and cooperation agreements

This initiative is an implementation of the joint agreement signed in 2024 between the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and the King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan. This strategic agreement aims to provide medical care to cancer patients from the Gaza Strip who have been stranded and deprived of necessary treatment due to the collapse of the healthcare system in the Strip.

This partnership seeks to accommodate as many critical cases as possible, providing them with a lifeline and a new opportunity for life in an integrated medical environment, as the King Hussein Cancer Center is one of the leading institutions in the region in this field.

The Kingdom's leading role in relief work

This is not an isolated incident, but rather part of a long series of initiatives led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. Since its establishment, the center has consistently extended a helping hand to those affected and afflicted around the world without discrimination, with particular attention to the brotherly Palestinian people.

These efforts are of paramount importance at present, as the health sector in Gaza faces unprecedented challenges, making external support and treatment abroad an absolute necessity. These ongoing initiatives underscore the Kingdom's commitment to prioritizing the humanitarian and health needs of its Palestinian brothers and sisters, dedicating its resources to alleviating their suffering and providing them with the means for recovery and a dignified life.
