The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre was established in May 2015 as the international humanitarian arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The latest aid included the distribution of food baskets and dates to the most needy groups, and the details are as follows:
- In Sudan: 500 food baskets were distributed in Al-Jazirah State, benefiting 3,106 individuals who had returned to their homes and were affected by the current situation, as part of the “Madad” project for 2026, which aims to support food security in the country, which is suffering from a complex humanitarian crisis.
- In Afghanistan: The center distributed 557 cartons of dates in Paktia province, benefiting 3,342 individuals from needy families and orphans, as part of a project to distribute 300 tons of dates to the Afghan people.
- In Kosovo: 200 food baskets were provided in the city of Malisheva, benefiting 1,000 individuals, as part of the “Food Basket 5” project, which aims to distribute more than 8,000 food baskets in 30 provinces.
- In Chad: 350 cartons of dates were distributed in the Bodourou region, benefiting 2,100 of the most vulnerable individuals, as part of a project to distribute 800 tons of dates.
- In Uzbekistan: The center distributed 820 food baskets in the cities of Jizzakh and Samarkand, benefiting more than 4,500 individuals from needy families.
