The mobile medical clinics of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued providing treatment and healthcare services to beneficiaries in the Razih district of Saada Governorate, Yemen, as part of the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people. From December 10 to 16, 2025, the clinics saw a high turnout of patients and visitors, with a total of 172 individuals receiving various medical services.
Details of treatment services and statistics
The services offered at the clinics were diverse, encompassing various vital specialties needed by the area's residents. According to official statistics, the infectious disease control clinic received 56 patients, a figure reflecting the critical importance of early disease surveillance in remote areas. The emergency clinic treated 26 patients who received necessary first aid, while the internal medicine clinic received 63 patients. In the area of women's health, nine women benefited from the reproductive health clinic's services, and the health awareness and education department provided health advice and guidance to 18 beneficiaries to raise community health awareness.
Support services and logistical support
The center's efforts extended beyond medical examinations to include accompanying and support services that ensure comprehensive healthcare. The nursing services clinic saw 74 patients, and free medication was dispensed to 147 patients, thus alleviating the financial burden on families. The surgery and dressing clinic also received two patients. Furthermore, in the interest of environmental protection and public safety, two medical waste disposal activities were conducted.
The importance of mobile clinics in rugged areas
These mobile clinics are of particular strategic importance in the Razih district of Saada Governorate, given the area's rugged terrain and its distance from major urban centers. These services address the significant gap in the healthcare system left by years of conflict, as many established health facilities suffer from staffing and equipment shortages. The King Salman Center clinics serve as a lifeline, providing essential services to the most vulnerable groups, especially children, women, and the elderly, thus contributing to reducing the spread of diseases and ensuring timely emergency care.
The Kingdom's humanitarian role in Yemen
This project is part of a comprehensive system of relief and development projects implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, across various Yemeni governorates without discrimination. These efforts aim to support Yemen's struggling health sector, ensure the continued provision of medical services, and combat diseases and epidemics, reflecting the deep fraternal ties between the two peoples and the Kingdom's commitment to the stability of Yemen and the well-being of its citizens.
