The Center announced that the clinics successfully provided necessary healthcare to 526 beneficiaries during the period from December 10 to 16, reflecting the Center’s commitment to alleviating the suffering of citizens in affected areas.

Details of medical services provided

The services provided encompassed a wide range of medical specialties to meet the diverse needs of the population. The infectious disease control clinic received the largest number of patients, with 331, highlighting its vital role in monitoring and combating epidemics in the region. The emergency clinic treated 63 critical cases, the internal medicine clinic saw 126 patients, and the reproductive health clinic received 6 patients.

Regarding support services, the nursing department provided care to 109 patients, while the surgery and dressing clinic treated 18 injured individuals. Efforts extended beyond diagnosis and treatment, encompassing the dispensing of medications to 530 people, in addition to implementing two activities dedicated to the safe disposal of medical waste, thus protecting the environment and public health.

The context of the humanitarian crisis and the importance of intervention

This aid comes at a time when Yemen’s health sector is suffering a severe decline as a result of the years-long crisis, which has led to the closure of many health facilities, particularly in rural and remote areas such as Hajjah Governorate. Mobile clinics are a lifeline for thousands of families who face extreme difficulty accessing central hospitals in major cities. This direct medical intervention helps to curb the spread of infectious diseases and epidemics, which often worsen in the absence of adequate healthcare and weak infrastructure.
