Distributing winter clothes to children in Gaza

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed large quantities of winter clothing to children in schools and kindergartens in the central Gaza Strip. This initiative is an integral part of the Saudi popular campaign to aid the Palestinian people , which aims to alleviate the humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip.

Field coordination to ensure aid reaches the field

Field teams from the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, the implementing partner of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in Gaza, participated in the distribution operations. The work was carried out according to a well-organized logistical plan aimed at reaching the widest possible range of students, ensuring fair and organized distribution within educational institutions to guarantee that the most vulnerable groups benefit from this aid.

The importance of humanitarian intervention in winter

This project is of exceptional importance given its timing, coinciding with the drop in temperatures and the onset of winter, at a time when the sector is suffering from harsh living conditions due to ongoing displacement and the loss of homes and belongings for thousands of families. Winter clothing at this time serves as a protective shield for children, providing them with the necessary warmth and protecting them from cold-related illnesses, thus enhancing their resilience in the face of these challenges.

Supporting the educational process and psychological stability

In addition to its relief aspect, the distribution of winter clothing has a positive impact on the educational process, which has resumed after long periods of disruption. By providing warmth and suitable clothing, the center contributes to enabling children to attend school in a safer and more dignified environment, thus boosting their morale and alleviating the financial burden on their families, who face significant difficulties in providing basic necessities.

The Kingdom's leading role in humanitarian work

This aid comes as an extension of Saudi Arabia's long history of support for the Palestinian cause, and in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership to stand by the Palestinian people in all their hardships. Through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the Kingdom has established air and sea bridges since the beginning of the crisis, delivering thousands of tons of food, medical supplies, and shelter materials, thus solidifying the Kingdom's position as one of the largest donor countries and supporters of humanitarian work at both the regional and international levels.
