The importance of aid and its expected impact
This aid is of paramount importance on several levels. Locally, it directly contributes to food security for beneficiary families and alleviates their economic burden. Water and sanitation projects in areas like Yemen also help curb the spread of diseases and epidemics. Regionally and internationally, these efforts reflect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to its global humanitarian responsibilities and reinforce its image as a key player in relief work. These projects also contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the goal of eradicating hunger and providing access to clean water.
This aid comes as an extension of the humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center, to help needy and affected groups in various parts of the world.
