Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah discussed with the Palestinian Minister of Development ways to enhance humanitarian work and provide care for the Palestinian people, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness to support the steadfastness of Palestine.

As part of the ongoing efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support humanitarian issues in the region, His Excellency the Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, held an important meeting via video conference with Her Excellency the Minister of Social Development and Acting Minister of State for Relief Affairs in the State of Palestine, Dr. Samah Hamad.

The meeting addressed a wide range of topics of mutual interest, focusing primarily on urgent relief and humanitarian issues. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen their strategic bilateral partnership to enhance the effectiveness of humanitarian work in the Palestinian territories, ensure aid reaches those who need it, and provide comprehensive care for the Palestinian people, thus contributing to maintaining their social cohesion under the current circumstances.

The Kingdom's leading role in supporting Palestine

This meeting is a continuation of the historical and leading role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the brotherly Palestinian people. The Kingdom has been one of the largest donors of humanitarian and development aid to Palestine for decades. Saudi support is not limited to emergency aid; it extends to sustainable development projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure and essential services in the health, education, and housing sectors.

Amid the ongoing crises plaguing the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has intensified its efforts by establishing air and sea relief bridges and launching public fundraising campaigns, reflecting the strong solidarity between the Saudi leadership and people with their Palestinian brothers and sisters. This diplomatic and humanitarian initiative aims to alleviate human suffering and provide essential needs such as food, medicine, and shelter.

A firm Saudi commitment and joint coordination

During the meeting, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah reiterated the Kingdom’s keenness, represented by the King Salman Relief Center, to stand by the brotherly Palestinian people and to harness all capabilities to support them in all humanitarian and relief fields, in order to strengthen their resilience in the face of difficult challenges.

For her part, Dr. Samah Hamad praised the outstanding professional level that the center has reached, commending its pivotal role in responding quickly to crises and supporting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and throughout the Palestinian territories, especially during the current humanitarian crisis that requires broad international cooperation.

The Palestinian minister concluded her remarks by expressing her sincere thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect them - for the generous Saudi assistance and sincere brotherly stances that embody the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries.
