Announcing the winners of the 27th King Salman Award for Memorizing the Holy Quran
His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and General Supervisor of Local and International Quranic Competitions, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, approved the results and names of the winners of the 27th King Salman bin Abdulaziz Local Competition for Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Quran for Boys, held in 1447 AH. The final rounds of the competition were held in Riyadh, with 129 contestants competing for valuable cash prizes totaling over seven million Saudi Riyals.
A long history of serving the Book of God
The King Salman Award for Memorizing the Holy Quran is a beacon of care for the Book of God in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Launched more than two decades ago, its noble aim is to encourage the sons and daughters of the nation to engage with the Holy Quran through memorization, understanding, and contemplation. The competition enjoys the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – which grants it a prestigious status and reflects the great attention the wise leadership pays to serving the Holy Quran and its people, and instilling its values in the hearts of future generations.

The 27th edition witnessed fierce competition among 129 contestants across six different categories, judged by a panel of leading experts in Quranic sciences. The following is a list of the winners in each category:
First branch: Memorizing the entire Holy Quran with interpretation
- First place: Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdulrazzaq Al Mutawa (400,000 riyals)
- Second place: Abdulrahman bin Mukhtar bin Ahmed Mohammed (375,000 riyals)
- Third place: Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Abdullah Kaddaf (350,000 riyals)
Branch Two
- First place: Asil bin Mohammed bin Mualla Al Mafouz (250,000 riyals)
- Second place: Omar bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Subaih (225,000 riyals)
- Third place: Ahmed bin Hamed bin Rashid Al-Sahli (200,000 riyals)
Third branch
- First place: Muhanna bin Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Muhanna (180,000 riyals)
